Sarah started working at ACCESS in 2024 and has quickly developed a strong passion for her role as a Teacher Assistant. While assisting the teachers with their unique literacy-based curriculum and multi-sensory learning methods, she also enjoys exploring each child’s individual talents through interactive play. She finds great joy in seeing the excitement the children display after completing a challenge, such as putting together a puzzle, building a castle out of Magna-Tiles, or coloring a picture.
Before joining ACCESS, Sarah worked in early childhood education for three years in Louisiana. She also spent two years as an Adult Development Instructor. Her compassion for helping children and adults with special needs comes from growing up with her brother, who was born with Spina Bifida.
When Sarah is not assisting at ACCESS, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loves watching Disney movies and singing karaoke.
