Mary Marie Brakebill has been a Teaching Assistant at The ACCESS Stella Boyle Smith Early Childhood Campus since 2023, working with the three-year-olds. She loves supporting the classroom teacher, interacting with the students, and celebrating their progress and achievements. Before joining ACCESS, Mary Marie helped start a Pre-K 4 class at Saint Edward Catholic School, where she worked as a classroom teacher for 24 years while earning her Child Development Associate certification. She also spent five years at Lake Nixon Outdoor Preschool, where she learned and adopted some wonderful outdoor learning techniques that she now incorporates into her current role. Outside of her work at ACCESS, Mary Marie enjoys spending time with any of her six grandchildren, piddling around in her yard, and volunteering at her church’s thrift store (thrifting can be quite the adventure). A fun fact about Mary Marie: she met, dated, got engaged to, and married her husband of 45 years within just two and a half months. Guess when you know, you know!
