Musically, Jay is inspired by country, R&B, and soul, crafting a unique sound that is deeply rooted in his Southern heritage and life experiences.
Before fully embracing his artistic journey, Jay was a Division 1 athlete, earning a tennis scholarship at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He won three district championships in high school and placed fourth in the state, a testament to his drive, discipline, and competitive spirit.
Professionally, Jay has served as a special needs educator and behavioral health advocate, working closely with individuals with autism and Down syndrome to help them develop life skills and independence. His diverse background in logistics, youth counseling, and community outreach equips him to connect with people from all walks of life.
