Brandi Burton joined ACCESS Academy as the Lead Teacher for the Kindergarten Foundations classroom in November 2024. Prior to joining ACCESS, she served as an Early Childhood Development Specialist (ECDS) for Early Childhood Intervention Day Treatment classrooms. With over 23 years of experience in early childhood education, Brandi spent 10 years teaching Pre-Kindergarten at her hometown Catholic School before transitioning to EIDT. She is enthusiastic about the opportunities this new role at ACCESS Academy will offer in her professional journey.

Brandi holds a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree with a primary focus in Education (Special Education) and a secondary focus in Social Sciences, along with an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. In 2020, she was honored with the Arkansas Outstanding Early Childhood Professional of the Year award by the Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education (DCCECE) and the Arkansas Early Childhood Commission (AECC).

In addition, Brandi completed the Fall 2024 Lexia LETRS for Early Childhood Professional Development Cohorts through the Arkansas Department of Education Office of Early Childhood. She is also trained in Learning Without Tears, a program developed by Occupational Therapists that uses multisensory techniques to make writing enjoyable and effective in fostering early literacy skills, from readiness to handwriting to phonics.

Outside of her role at ACCESS Academy, Brandi enjoys spending time with her new grandson, daughter, and son-in-law in Bentonville, Arkansas. She also loves traveling to Woodstock, Vermont to visit her son and future daughter-in-law, where she relaxes, rejuvenates, and enjoys the local cuisine.
