Gourmet Cookies
The ACCESS Culinary Basics class is designed to introduce students to the retail and food service industries. The students learn skills used in cooking such as safety, time management and math skills. In addition, the students are able to explore vocational skills needed for retail such as customer service, taking inventory, packaging and labeling products. This class helps to give each student confidence in basic skills as well as the chance to explore possible vocational skills for the future.
Recently, the class began selling gourmet chocolate chip cookies, hand-dipped in chocolate for a beautiful presentation. The cookies, sold at school events and by special order, are a smashing success! Look for announcements of upcoming cookie sales and special order information soon.
