Retail Ventures
ACCESS students gain valuable work experiences by operating two school businesses!

ACCESS high school students learn important academic skills in an applied academic setting. That means they learn to apply academics within real-world settings. What can be more real-world than a real business?
ACCESS operates retail enterprises that not only generate money for ACCESS but teach valuable skills. Students gain experience in economics, profit and loss, marketing, packaging, merchandise management, customer service, money, inventory and specific skills related to ceramics production, horticulture and retail bakery items.
Students operate a retail greenhouse with seasonal plant sales. Our nursery business is called ACCESS Gardens. Students also produce and sell hand-painted ceramic pieces and gourmet cookies that are available at student sales and by special order.
