Individual Donations
More than 17 percent of ACCESS’ annual budget comes from individual donations. ACCESS students, clients and families rely on the generosity of our donors to help maintain our programs and reach as many children, youths, educators and parents as possible with our services.
ACCESS has many different giving levels, and gifts of any amount are appreciated. Donors are listed in the semiannual ACCESS newsletter. ACCESS Stewards, those individuals who donate more than $1,000 annually, are listed in the annual report and a lobby plaque and are honored at an annual donor appreciation party.
Many ACCESS parents participate in our Power of the Parent program. Through the program, an ACCESS parent is asked to share his or her child’s ACCESS Success story in a letter to friends and family. Friends and family members are asked to donate funds to help ACCESS achieve its annual budget goals. Through the Power of the Parent program, ACCESS raised more than $8,000 in the 2010-2011 fiscal year. Learn more about the Power of the Parent program and how you can help ACCESS meet its 2011-2012 goals.
Some individuals prefer to recognize and remember their loved ones with annual donations. Honorariums and memorial gifts are thoughtful ways to mark a special occasion or day of remembrance. Honorees and family members are notified of donors’ generosity. The amount of the donation is kept private.
