Reading
The Dubard Association Method™ is a phonetic, multi-sensory teaching strategy designed specifically for students with language learning differences. The Dubard Association Method™ is the core of the ACCESS reading program. Teachers and speech therapists have all been certified to use this method to teach reading.
The Dubard Association Method™ is implemented using a systematic manner. Instruction progresses from individual speech sounds; to syllables, words of gradually increasing length, basic sentences and questions; and to more advanced sentences and stories. Ultimately, students begin using traditional textbooks when basic reading skills are mastered.
The DuBard Association Method™ is used commonly with the following disorders:
- Hearing Impairment
- Severe articulation disorders
- Apraxia of Speech
- Language Disorders
- Aphasia or Developmental Delays
- Learning Disabilities
- Dyslexia
- Disorders of Written Expression
