How to Apply

ACCESS receives referrals throughout the year for potential students and clients from parents, educators and professionals. Referrals and applications to ACCESS programs are processed by Beth Rice, admissions coordinator. ACCESS has eight different admissions information packages: one for ACCESS Therapy (speech, occupational, physical and other therapies), ACCESS Preschool, ACCESS Academy, ACCESS Life (young adult program), Therapy Evaluations, Psychological and Psycho-Educational Evaluations, Pragmatics and Academic Therapy. Beth can mail you the information package(s) of your choice; there is also additional information regarding each program on this website.

You may also be mailed an enrollment packet. When this packet is returned:
  • paperwork is reviewed
  • potential clients sending in school applications are placed on the appropriate contact list pending an opening in the classroom
  • insurance benefits are verified, if applicable
  • medical prescriptions are obtained from the primary care physician if necessary
  • diagnostic visit or services are scheduled
Once a child is scheduled for services, expect:
  • receipt of contract and student handbook for school placement
  • receipt of miscellaneous forms for clients' chart
  • regularly scheduled meetings with the clients' service provider/s
  • follow up contact with the admissions coordinator
  • opportunities to be involved with the ACCESS Parent Association
