Upper School
The Upper School serves students ages 12-21 and offers a certificate of completion rather than a traditional high school diploma. Qualifying students may be placed in the Upper School 1 classroom, which offers a General Equivalency Diploma program (GED testing is not administered at ACCESS). The Upper School 2 classroom has a blended curriculum of academics and applied academics. Depending on the year, this group may skew toward the younger or older age range; for the 2011-2012 academic year, most students in both classrooms are 12-15 years old.
The Upper School 1 classroom serves students ages 12 and older are working toward a GED. This classroom has an academic focus and implements both large and small group instruction. Students engage in project-based learning and participate in some vocational education.
The Upper School 2 classroom serves students ages 12 and older who participate in a blended curriculum of academics and applied academics. Students use project-based learning and participate in vocational education as a regular aspect of their day.
